Friday Extras: Cat Adoption Month
Did you know June is National Cat Adoption month? I just found out about it, and June is almost over! Here, a few Friday Extras all concerning Cat adoption.
This is Rocky. He lives in our apartment complex, and this picture does not do justice to how cute he is. We first started calling him Rocky because one of his ears is clipped and we thought it looked like he'd been in a fight. It turns out that the clipped ear is a sign that he has been captured, neutered, and released. We love Rocky because he takes care of the vermin around our apartment (we've found more than one severed rodent head courtesy of that little guy), and because he always greets Adam and me when we get out of the car and he follows us all the way up to our 3rd floor apartment, meowing and giving us adorable looks the whole way up. Everyone on our apartment row leaves out food from time to time, and if we didn't already have two large and territorial cats at home, we'd adopt him in no time.
This week, Miss Cellania over at Mental Floss featured this adorable collection of funny and quirky cat adoption posters, including this purrfect Downton Tabby poster. See the rest, here.
If you live in Dallas, here are a few places you can go to adopt a new feline friend:
