Summer work wear -- business casual

I wore this outfit for a day of meetings. It was comfortable, featured easy layers, and struck just the right balance of casual and professional.

The shirt is Old Navy clearance, the cardigan is the Merona ultimate cardigan -- my favorite. The necklace is from the J. Crew factory outlet from last fall. That factory outlet is pretty amazing (and the only time I can afford to shop at J. Crew.)

And those innocuous looking navy trousers? They're lightweight denim. (shh, don't tell!) You're seeing the end-of-day shot where they're a bit wrinkly, but for the most part, they stayed nice and crisp. Any day I can wear jeans masquerading as office wear is a good day -- especially since these were a hand-me-down from my mom (thanks, mom!) and they fit me perfectly.

Today is the last day of summer semester, so Thursday's post will be the last summer work wear post of the series (unless I decide to get a little fancy on a Central Market trip or something :).)
