Back to school 2014

What I learned on the first day of school on a 100 degree Texas day:

1. That blazer was just wishful thinking, even indoors.

2. It's possible to sweat through double layers before 11:00 am

3. Getting my hair cut and blow-dried straight the day before class was a good idea, but it is now officially my shortest-lasting blowout ever. 

4. Those comfortable Clarks navy pumps were a good investment.

5. I should find a place in my bag for extra body spray, deodorant, and hair ties. Sheesh, it's almost like I've never lived through a Texas summer before. 

But even with the heat, it was a good first day of class, and I'm looking forward to a rewarding and interesting semester.
