Going to Graceland
A couple of weeks ago, my family and I packed into a couple of cars and drove to Hot Springs and Memphis to make the pilgrimage to Graceland. Here are some of my favorite pictures out of the many, many photos we have from the trip.
The hike up to this tower in Hot Springs left some scrapes, bruises, and exhaustion for some in our party, but the view was pretty great.
A historic Hot Springs bathhouse converted into a restaurant and microbrewery uses fresh thermal springwater for its homemade brews.
There are three chapels like this in America -- all glass and wood and nestled into the forest -- and this one is at a natural botanical gardens in Hot Springs.
Also, we saw Big Foot there.
In Memphis, we stayed at an Elvis-themed hotel that featured lots of artwork like this and a guitar-shaped pool.
We also saw the Lorraine Motel, where Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated and toured Sun Records, home of Rock n' Roll (and the really cute soda shop pictured below).
