Oscar the tour guide cat

I mentioned previously that Oscar landed in my bag for Chicago due to my fun husband's sense of humor -- er -- I mean -- because Oscar, of course, is magic. So, we took the fuzzy little guy along with us, and he became our travel mascot as we toured Chicago.

Enjoying some deep dish pizza at Giordano's. Oscar requested anchovies. We said no.

Oscar didn't get to go to Italy with us a few years ago, so this piece of St. Peter's at Tribune Tower will have to do.

In Millennium Park

Millennium Park's most famous piece of art, "Cloud Gate" by Anish Kapoor. Locals call it "The Bean." Oscar wanted to know if he could eat it.

Enjoying this famous Georges Seurat painting, just one of many of The Art Institute of Chicago's  Impressionist works.

"Agora," a group of sculptures in Grant Park by Magdalena Abakanowicz

Outside the Field Museum.

More pictures outside of the museum. Cats aren't allowed inside, you see. (Plus, we kind of forgot that it was Good Friday that day, so the lines to get into both the Field Museum and Shedd Aquarium were crazy)

Next time, I'll show you what the humans were up to during all of this.

  1. Is that Seurat painting the same won Cameron is obsessed with in Ferris Bueller's Day Off?

    1. Yep. Same painting, same museum, same lions outside the front of the building. (Oscar got a little jealous of them, because he's just a tiny stuffed cat.) :)
