Friday Extras -- My Dream School Supplies
One of the reasons I knew I needed to pursue higher education is because I LOVE back to school time. School supplies make me way more excited than they should, and a bouquet of brand new pens in a variety of colors is as good as if not better than a bouquet of flowers. I still need new school supplies at the start of the semester, but not nearly as many as I once did. Still, a girl can dream, and here are a few of the items on my dream school supply list:
1. A little academic humor to kick your school year off -- Feminist Ryan Gosling: Amazon
2. This adorable vintage library card notecard set will make research (and passing notes in class) even better: Modcloth
3. When I'm reading for class or working on a research project, I go through sticky note page flags as quickly as I go through coffee. I love these from World Market.
4. If I needed a backpack and if I could justify looking like a 12-year-old, I would totally buy this cat-print backpack by Mossimo from Target. (P.S. it's on sale, right now!).
5. I'm completely in love with these Le Pen pens. The colors are wonderful, and they write smoothly and beautifully. I get mine from some fancy stationary store in the mall, but you can find them here, on Amazon.
6. You can live long, prosper, and back up all your school work with this fantastic "Spock and Roll" USB drive from Modcloth.
7. This lovely pencil set would at least let you feel kind of stylish while filling in those tiny scantron bubbles: Modcloth.
8. And when you need a place to stash your pencils (or your lipgloss), this bird-print makeup case will work for either: Orla Kiely from Target.
9. There's nothing quite like a fresh empty notebook, just waiting to be filled with ideas and notes and doodles, and I'm in love with these literary-themed notebooks from Out of Print Clothing, a brand that specializes in literary-themed t-shirts and tote bags.
Happy school supply shopping!
