'Owl' always love fall

Someone on my facebook feed said today that September is the time when Texans start decorating for fall in hopes that it will get cooler. That is the truth. With highs in the mid-to-upper 90s this week, all these fall colors and the scent and taste of pumpkin-spiced-everything causes a bit of cognitive dissonance as I wipe the sweat off my sticky neck. But when I turn the air-conditioner up and cuddle up with my cats, it almost feels like fall is really here.

Noticed a theme yet? I'm a bit of a sucker for owl items, especially in the fall. I think I like owls because they remind me of cats -- but with feathers.

And with that deep thought to kick off the week, I better go find another cup of coffee. I wish you all a peaceful and productive Monday -- and maybe some cooler temperatures, too.
