September Remix: Navy variations

I didn't mean to have a navy theme for outfits 6, 7, & 8 of the September remix. It just sort of happened. Navy is becoming my favorite neutral this fall, and I only own one pair of navy shoes. This calls for some shoe shopping, right? (right?)

You can bet that cardigan spent more time off than on with the upper 90s temperatures that day.

These jeans used to be a pale, washed-out blue. I threw them in the washing machine with what was left of my royal blue dye after my grey dye project, et voila! -- nice bright blue denim.

Summer's perfect tank returns, with boots and a blazer to snazz it up for fall. The lightweight blazer worked well for most of this day of indoor work, and with the sleeves pushed up, it wasn't too bad outdoors either.

I really wanted to wear those navy pumps again, but I knew it would be a long day, and I wanted to be comfortable. When there was some sort of parking crisis that day due to a big event on campus, I was thankful I chose the flats as I hiked up from my parking space in Timbuktu. I also love how lightweight and breathable the cotton-silk blend makes this shirt (purchased last fall at J.C. Penney). Even though the shirt is a dark color, I stayed perfectly comfortable, even when the temperature reached 100 degrees.

Lesson: When one has tiny, colorful owls all over one's shirt, one does not need much else in the way of accessories. :)

    1. Thanks! You could say I have a slight owl problem. But I'm okay with that. :)
