September Remix: Light Layers
Fall came to North Texas this weekend, with drizzly weather and temperatures in the low 70s and upper 60s. I was finally able to layer -- which is the best part of any clothing remix.
When layering this striped tee over my white sleeveless button-up, I wanted that layered crop top look, so I tied the shirt up with one of those tiny clear hair bands and used double sided tape to secure the fabric to the inside of the shirt. Fake crop-top in two easy steps.
It was drizzling when we took these, so that's why they're blurry -- I was in a hurry to keep from getting wet.
Layering a shirt dress over jeans and a tank was a fun way to stay just warm enough. Also, I love my new floppy hat. It kept my head nice and dry and let me feel like a hippie.
I finally got the memo about the rain on Sunday, and wore my hair curly so I wouldn't have to worry about it getting messed up if it got wet.
The temps are rising again already, but I hope the triple-digit days are finally behind us. It's only supposed to reach 90 this week, which feels autumnal enough after the humid heat of August for me to keep trying my lightweight layers.
