14x14 for Feb. 14
Hey, you guys, it's February already, and you know what that means -- it's time for me to wear all my pink and red and super girly items all at once for the next couple of weeks. At least, that's my impulse. To curb that impulse and to keep me from looking like a walking Valentine created by a 5-year-old, I'm instituting another Valentine's clothing remix. Last year, as part of my no new clothes challenge, I put together a 14 piece clothing remix for the 14 days leading up to and including Valentine's day. The goal? Make 14 different outfits (in varying degrees of pink, red, and general Valentine's themey-ness) using only 14 pieces of clothing for 14 days of February. Here are this year's 14 pieces:
I can't wait to see what combinations end up working in the gamble of Texas February weather. (I tried to choose items that would layer well). To see last year's 14x14 remix, click here.

The pieces:
3 pairs of pants: 1 pair black trousers, 1 pair dark skinny jeans, 1 pair dark cabernet cords
1 dress: navy button-down floral
2 skirts: 1 maroon pencil skirt, 1 black A-line skirt
5 shirts: 1 light pink t-shirt, 1 white button-down, 1 off-white mixed-fabric top, 1 lavender sweater, 1 light pink lace tank
3 "completer" pieces: 1 long maroon cardigan, 1 grey blazer, 1 blush cardigan.
And here are a few combinations I'm currently considering:
